Question of the day

What are Cryptogamus plants?  Give up?  They are soft, spongy growths that are destitute of chlorophyll.  They derive nourishment wholly, or chiefly from organic compounds.

  1. As soon as I read "crypto" I started to think of man eating venus fly traps! Oh well, I'm no plant nerd like you, LOL! I guess I learn something new everyday!

  2. Robin, the best part is that I only studied up on this stuff to play a joke on my friend Dave. Not sure you remember him, but he has the same birthday as you. Anyway, we ended up trading jibes with me protraying both of us as experts in the field of fungus and mold. I posted some of this over at PP's board, and Dave even showed up for that.

  3. I do remember Dave, and I thought he was very smart, funny, and an all around great guy! I'd love to know him, he seemed like a good friend!
